The bustier has been reimagined by many designers as a prevalent trend on the Spring/Summer 2018 Resort runways. It’s become less of a lingerie piece to wear for shape, and more of a standout garment to add something special to your outfit.
As we know, lingerie has become a mainstay in typical daily fashion, and exposing it as part of an outfit is no longer a taboo. A bustier or corset inspired top can be a very refreshing way to add some sensuality into your wardrobe. You can style it with jeans or make it a standout piece of a nighttime look. If you want to get a little bit more creative, you can layer a bustier top over a tee or dress for a very trendy OOTD.
Another modern interpretation of the bustier or corset is the corset belt, which is a widely popular way to create some curve. It’s not as constricting as a typical corset if you find the right fit, but it gives the same illusion of a gathered waist so you can showcase your natural curves!
You can recreate this look for your next night out or pay homage to the trend underneath your clothing with a bustier or an inspired longline bralette, which would fit nicely over a tee or on top of a sheer dress for some coverage. Another way you can wear this look with ease is over an oversized button up shirt, adding some sensuality to a typically sophisticated top.
