Valentine’s Day Dates That Aren’t Just Dinner

You can go to a restaurant any day – why not make your Valentine’s Day more special this year?
Sometimes the simplest things can be made romantic with a little bit of thought, so try these easy ideas instead!

1. 20+ Questions

Have your own personal Newlywed Game at home! Click on this photo to get some fun Newlywed questions to play with as well.

Even if you’ve been together forever, there could be things you still don’t know about each other!
Grab a glass of wine and some apps, and pull up some 20 questions or newlywed questions lists on your phone. You’ll love learning new things about your partner and your conversations will be positive and fulfilling!

2. Dance Lessons at Home

Have a romantic dance night at home!

Not only will dancing help you burn off some of your dinner, but dancing with your partner can create such an intimate connection. You can easily find some tutorials on YouTube, as we learned from Jenny Collier.

Worst case scenario, if you both have two left feet, you can laugh all night at your silly attempts!

3. Game Night with a Twist

A game night can be a cheap way to have some fun with your love, and it’s much more stimulating than just sitting on the couch and watching TV!

Try some of these games perfect for just you two, and make it spicy – place some fun bets before you play the games for what the loser has to do? Get as creative as you want!

4. Romantic Movie Night

A movie night can be romantic if you put a little thought and effort into it.

Rearrange the furniture to make a comfy blanket and pillow fort so you can snuggle up with your boo. Adding lights and some snacks will definitely gain you some extra points.

5. DIY Escape Room

Click for all the know-how to create the best at-home escape room!

Escape rooms are one of the trendiest activities right now, focusing on teamwork and problem solving. You can visit one, or you can create your own experience at home!

This would be more fun as a group date and that’s kind of how it was set up, but there’s no reason you can’t adapt it for the two of you!
