Those New Year’s Resolutions to lose weight and cut out sugar are great, but are they really attainable long term?
Sometimes smaller resolutions have the best effect on creating positive change. Instead of having unrealistic goals, how about we all try these easy yet powerful New Year’s Resolutions that we can all do together?
1. Adopt One New Good Habit Every Month
Trying to adopt a complete lifestyle change can be tough. Taking gradual steps to improving your physical, mental, or emotional health can make healthy choices a lot less daunting.
For example, for one month you can try writing a journal or reading before bed instead of playing on your phone. The next month, maybe try not to order take-out food.
You may choose to keep those habits throughout the rest of the months, or take it easy with just one every month.
2. Commit To Being More Active, NOT Losing Weight
Sometimes having a goal to be more active instead of a goal to lose 30 pounds is a more attainable way to get fit.
Plan a 20 minute walk every other day, take the stairs instead of the elevator, or head to the mall early in the morning to walk around before shopping. These little things add up over time!
3. Do A Good Deed Every Week
You’d be surprised at just how beneficial helping others can be for your emotional and mental health.
Committing to doing one good deed a week will make your heart happy and bring more positivity your way. It could be paying for someone else’s coffee, writing someone a thank-you card, or donating $20 to your favorite charity. It’s a small deed that doesn’t take much effort, but could dramatically change someone’s day.
4. Get Regular Bra Fittings
Of course we had to throw this in here!
A regular bra fitting will ensure you’re buying yourself the best bras. It can lead to more comfort, your clothes fitting better, and a reinvigorated love of lingerie.
5. Put Yourself First
It’s hard sometimes, but it’s essential.
If you don’t want to go out one weekend, just don’t. If someone is making you feel bad, don’t give them your energy. If you don’t like your job or current situation, figure out how to change your circumstances.
Will YOU manifest these New Year’s Resolutions into your life for 2019? What other resolutions are you considering?
