Pantone 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity

When Pantone declares its Colour of the Year, it’s a sign of what’s to come in fashion, home decor, and more. This year, it must have been too hard to choose as we were blessed with two trending colours! Part of what’s being reported as the motivation behind Pantone’s decision to release two colours of the year is that it’s to appeal to all genders. Two light, easy going shades, one a soft pink and the other an airy blue, can be refreshing additions to one’s life in so many ways. If you’re in admiration of these two Pantone colours for 2016, our search for some affordable items have uncovered a few ways to make Rose Quartz and Serenity part of your world.

Rose Quartz

A rose quartz stone can actually be found, and is a stunningly semi-sheer light pink stone that just radiates. Many pieces of jewelry can be found with rose quartz, and Etsy is a wonderful place to look for gorgeous handmade items with rose quartz or coloured stones. We even found a stunning multi-purpose dress, which we know every single body type would look fabulous in for its flattering shape!

Serenity

Once again, our search on Etsy revealed some dainty and simple jewelry featuring serenity coloured stones. The colour of serenity is calming and charming, and could spruce up any neutral outfit in a modern way.

Lipsticks in Serenity and Rose Quartz

Sephora and Pantone once again collaborated on a shockingly fun and modern cosmetic collection, featuring shadows and lipsticks in both shades. Just in time for spring, when we can play with brighter colours on our eyes (or lips)!

Serenity & Rose Quartz

Not surprising, these two soft pastel shades complement each other beautifully. We even found a pair of chevron leggings with both colours, which we can see with an oversized tee or white button up on a casual spring day.

Even though we don’t have lingerie in exact shades, there are some pieces we have that are so close to rose quartz and serenity, you’d have to have an expert eye to tell the difference!
