The tree lights are off and the presents are unwrapped, but some of us may still be feeling the aftereffects of the holidays.
If you indulged in a little too much eggnog this weekend, it’s okay! Here’s how to get over the post-holiday slump.
Stop With The Guilt
First things first: it’s time to stop feeling guilty about eating too much or having an extra drink. You’ve been there and done that! One day of overindulgence is not going to be your downfall!
Get Those Nutrients Back
A whole lot of junk foods can make our bodies feel tired and sluggish. Give your energy a loving boost with a nourishing smoothie. It’s a super simple way to re-introduce all the nutrients you neglected over the holidays back into your body. Click the image for some recipes!
Wait To Shop
Not only do people put themselves in debt buying holiday gifts, but many rush out prematurely to indulge in all of the Boxing Day sales. Wait a couple days and let the crowds die down.
Most sales continue about a week or so after Boxing Day. You don’t want to get too excited and buy things you don’t need just because you found a great deal!
Sit Back and Reflect
Many of us get so amped up over the holidays that once they’re over, we fall into a slump. We feel as though there’s nothing to look forward to!
Instead, reflect on the wonderful memories you made this year and look forward to what’s to come in the New Year!
When All Else Fails … Shapewear!
Our overindulgence over the holidays can make us feel bloated and uncomfortable. While you’re on your way back to healthy eating and exercise, some shapewear can temporarily make you feel confident and put together!
