The 2015 Grammys celebrated an infusion of music legends and current entertainers to honor some of music’s biggest moments in the past year. As always, our favorite stars and starlets showcased some of the year’s most popular fashion trends while gracing the red carpet, which is almost as entertaining as the award show itself. The art of music and the art of fashion came together in a brilliant way for some celebs, but there were a few looks that weren’t very exciting. Here are some of the most memorable styles from this year’s Grammy Awards.
Best Dressed Female: Taylor Swift
We have been watching Taylor Swift’s style evolution mature over the last year, and she nailed it on the head with her interestingly constructed blue ombre Elie Saab gown. Pairing this dress with a purple shoe is expert, and the starlet looks young and vibrant. Her look, by far, was one of the most talked-about looks of the night.
Best Dressed Male: Sam Smith
Sam Smith has been wooing ladies over with his angelic vocals and sweet lyrics, and we’re sure his simple yet sophisticated Gucci suit helped his case a little bit more. Many of the men kept it casual or questionable when dressing for this year’s Grammy’s, but Smith looked like a modern Casanova. The white bow tie against the crisp white shirt is divine.
Best Dressed Couple: John Legend and Chrissy Teigen
These two always look so sweet together, as they’re a couple whose love just radiates off of them when they’re together. John Legend looked dapper in a grey suit with a dark lapel, which is super trendy in men’s suiting, and a light button up. Teigen showcased her brilliantly sculpted body in a body-conscious white dress with strategic cutouts. Their smiles were definitely their winning accessories, as many online outlets are raving about how happy the cute couple looked all night.
Best Dressed Group: Haim
This girl group is dominating music, but also commanded attention on the red carpet without being flashy or over-the-top. You can see in their wardrobe choices that they each stayed true to their unique characters, which is what makes them look so effortlessly cool. The ladies kept the palettes neutral, but paired interesting pieces together and wore minimal makeup to showcase their natural beauty.
Worst Dressed: Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian’s style choices have been a bit questionable lately, but you have to admire the stunning starlet for her courage. This Jean Paul Gaultier jacket/dress is genius in its design, but it just simply didn’t fit Kim’s shape. It swallowed her up and did her a disservice. However, she still looked beautiful and her newly cut hair is on point.
