In case you somehow managed to ignore social media this weekend, Pippa Middleton got married!
The highly anticipated wedding has been the most buzzed-about event for quite some time, and we have all the details we could find together for you to get caught up, and maybe find some inspiration for your own wedding!
First of all: the dress! Pippa’s quite the elegant fashionista, so no one could help but speculate on what she would wear and who would design it. And Pippa definitely didn’t disappoint!
Her beautiful Giles Deacon lace gown was fitted close to the body, with a stunning high neckline and short cap sleeves. The gown cascaded beautifully behind her with a bit of a train, and she opted for a pearl kissed veil made by milliner Stephen Jones. Pippa accessorized with a Robinson Pelham tiara and some Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Some of the most talked-about guests were the mini wedding party, full of kids including Prince George and Princess Charlotte. They were all in adorable ensembles created especially for them by Pepa & Co. They looked precious as ever, even when they appeared to be causing their mama some trouble, as can be seen in many paparazzi snaps.
Pippa and her financier husband James Matthew got married in a fairly intimate ceremony at St. Mark’s Church near where Pippa grew up, and continued celebrating their love with two receptions.
The first was a traditional sit down dinner with speeches, as we’re all used to seeing, and the second was a tented shindig at their Buckleberry Manor mansion.
The lovely couple had a confidentiality agreement and no camera policy, so we’re not seeing much of what went on there, but we can only imagine the party was amazing! We’re happy the couple divulged us with their entrance into the ceremony space and their epic exit! We heard that they ordered their guests to bring an extra outfit to change in for the reception, so we bet they really let their hair down!
Of course, everyone was wondering what Pippa’s royal sister and maid of honor, Kate Middleton, would wear on her big day. She didn’t disappoint, looking as elegant as ever in a soft pink by Alexander McQueen and a matching Jane Taylor fascinator. It was a more classic look than we’d imagined given Pippa’s modern style, but the Duchess makes everything look chic.
All in all, Pippa appears to have had a very beautiful, traditional wedding, and there’s no denying from the few photos we have seen that she was incredibly happy. We wish them both the best!
