When we look our best, we feel our best, but sometimes you hit the snooze alarm too many times and you find yourself in a frenzy to get out of the door.

That’s why it’s nice to have a little mini emergency bag in your handbag, filled with easy and compact tools to avoid any faux pas that may arise, especially when you’re on the go or it’s laundry day.

Check out these fashion hacks that’ll help you avoid any faux pas with things you probably already have in your handbag!

A Fabric Buffer

Fabric Buffer by Fashion Essentials

All of us should have one of these handy tools in our purse!

Maybe you put on a black shirt in a rush and you got some deodorant on your top. This rubs it off easily!

A fabric buffer can also remove animal hair, dust, light makeup residue and it can even erase minor scuffs on your shoes. If you also notice a sweater pilling, you can use the rougher end of the fabric buffer to wipe off those unsightly pulls.

Deodorant

Speaking of deodorant, many of us keep a little mini in our handbag just in case our sweat gets the best of us.

Keep doing that – it can also be helpful if your shoes are rubbing your feet the wrong way. Simply rub the deodorant (gel is preferred) over the area of your foot in pain as a protective barrier against blisters and red marks. That way, you can avoid wobbling around or having to change into shoes that don’t go with your outfit.

You can also swipe deodorant on your nose if it tends to get super shiny, on your neck to avoid sweaty hair that sticks, or on an unexpected zit in a bind.

A Key Ring

Does anyone else have a ton of novelty keychains attached to your house keys? Anyone?

Well, if you do, you’ll be happy – especially if you have a zipper that won’t stay off or splits. Simply attach the key ring to the hole in the zipper or the hook, zip it up to the button, and hook the ring onto the stem of the button and button the garment up. It won’t be seen, and your clothes will stay put!

Here’s a tutorial in case the instructions sounds confusing.

Vaseline

You can find mini tubs of this powerful stuff that’ll slip into your handbag and get you out of so many binds.

Tame back flyaway hairs or brows for a more polished look, or rub some onto dry lips if you forget your lip balm. You can also tap some Vaseline on your cheekbones and under your brows if your makeup is looking a little dull but you can’t reapply.

If you’re out and accidentally got some makeup on your clothing, you can use a damp cloth and some Vaseline to wipe it away.

Fashion hacks aside, Vaseline can also moisturize any part of your body, help you create a flawless manicure, and so much more!

Fashion Tape

Body Tape by Fashion Essentials

We know how brilliant fashion tape is to rock those low cut numbers without fear of a wardrobe malfunction.

However, fashion tape also comes in handy to keep your lapels, shirt collars, and even your cuffs in place for a super refined finish to your outfit. A lapel or collar that is flimsy can often make your outfit look sloppy, so a little tape will help take care of that.

Fashion tape can also close a gab in a button up shirt, keep a long belt in place, fix an unruly hem, close a broken button in a snap, or even keep your layers in place by taping the top layer to the bottom.

Which of these fashion hacks did you find the most surprising?
