A convertible bra is one that comes with straps and hooks that allow you to style the bra in many ways. You can make it a typical bra, or make it strapless, one shoulder, criss crossed, and even halter.
Having a convertible bra in your lingerie drawer can eliminate the need for you to buy several different styles of bras until you have the budget to choose to do that.
But! There are so many more things you can do with a convertible bra than just change the straps. Have fun with a convertible bra in these super creative ways!
Wear It As A Top
A convertible bra can be worn as a top in many ways.
You can try your favorite style with or without straps, you can try a longline convertible bra for more coverage, or even layer an open cardigan or long sleeve kimono on top.
Style a convertible bra with some sort of high waisted bottom for a sophisticated look.
Wear It OVER A Top
The bralette over a shirt, or even the cami or chemise over a shirt has been a thing for a long time. A convertible bra works just as well!
Layering a convertible bra, whether strapless or not, over a shirt, especially a looser shirt, will add some definition and flair to a typical outfit.
Use The Strap As A Choker
On a day you choose to go strapless or use just one strap, you can repurpose your spare strap(s) in a number of ways.
Wrap your strap around your neck (thankfully they’re adjustable) and style it as a choker necklace. That way, you’re not paying for overpriced styles.
Sew It Into Your Dress Or Top
This hack works for a convertible that you’re not loving so much right now, or maybe once that still fits well but is a little worn.
You can sew your strapless or non-strapless convertible bra into your favorite dress or top that’s a little tricky to wear with a bra. This way, you eliminate the strappy bits that can sometimes ruin the look of your outfit.
