Lingerie As Outerwear For Spring

When you can use something in more than one way, you instantly increase that investment’s value. That can be said for lingerie worn as outerwear!

The weather is slowly calming down and we’re looking forward to the sunshine and warmer temperatures so much! Since we’ll be a lot more comfortable exposing a little bit more skin, we have some lingerie as outerwear inspiration for Spring to transform your style this upcoming season!

Bustier Tops 

A strapless bustier or a longline bralette makes creating an accessible lingerie look a breeze, as it has some more coverage than other bras. 

Let it take the place of a basic top with casual jeans or high-waisted trousers, layer a jacket on top, or even wear the bustier over a t-shirt or a button up for a high fashion moment. 

Bodysuits

We know wearing a bodysuit as clothing isn’t a new idea. However, it’s a fun one! 

A bodysuit can be styled for almost any occasion, from a night out, to a day of shopping, a date, and everything in between. Bodysuits can range from simple and practical to super trendy moments with lots of cool details. 

Chemises and Slips

A chemise or slip can take the place of a dress in pretty much any way. It’s a bonus, because slips are soft, lightweight, and comfortable. 

Layer your chemise or slip over a shirt, wear it as a dress on its own, or throw something on top like a jacket or a sweater; the options really are bountiful, just like with a dress!

Biker Shorts

Biker shorts are a comfortable staple that you’ve probably seen all over Instagram. They can be worn with crop tops for a really body-conscious look, but they can also be styled within looks that are easier to wear day to day. 

Pair them with a longer top and a jacket or blazer for a super cool look on a warm day. They can also be an extra layer under dresses or oversized tops, so you can rock the outfit you love without leg chafing. 

Bralettes 

Once again, bralettes aren’t a new thing, but we think you should try playing with your bralettes in your outfits if you haven’t already!

A simple bralette can help you pull off a cool athleisure look with your favorite sweats, or a fancy bralette can be worn exposed under a jacket or layered on a t-shirt or blouse. When you can wear one in so many ways, it’s totally worth it!
